the batteries in our alarms die
so we sleep a bit more
but make it to that 1030 class
take a nap somewhere in the day

and all the art ends up all over my room

we make popcorn and stay in bed

then do it all over again the next night
i love my life. most of the time.

i love the smell of cigarette smoke in my clothes
because its like he's always around
this is shaping up to be quite the year
i guess im.......happy sort of?
we went out twice last week, just lauren, james, james and i
to call the office and taphouse
and i feel really lucky to have met them all
it feels like those friendships in the movies
where everything falls into place
where "everything was beautiful and nothing hurt"
they're like raincoats for all sorts of bad weather
its easy. its exactly what i needed.

i am in such a fighting mood. fuck the fucking school board. i am not paying for busing and will not stand to have them change the school times. this is ridiculous! holy name always gets picked on, whether its to change us to a coed school or move our location or make us semestered, they're always coming after us for something! and we, the students, who it's going to affect, always sit around and expect the parent council or the teachers and admin to protect us, but its fucking time we actually stood up for ourselves! we shouldnt be afraid of getting in trouble or of such things! if we sit around and allow the school board to do this it will just be the tip of the iceberg and in a few years holy name may no longer exist! so that's why i've proposed a pencil drop at 1140 on wednesday. the whole school walks out and protests along mississauga road. we have to fight because this will affect us. we need to stand up and show the board that we wont be pushed around! grrrrrrrrr! tell everyone you can! alert the press! let loose the carrier pidgeons! etc!

good summer. i wish it had lasted longer. really this is my last week, since im finally going back to work next week.
i've started to look at universities. so far i've checked out ryerson for film studies, york for film, u of t + sheridan for the art + art history thing, mcmaster for art + art history, universite de montreal for art, and western for art as well. i really want to go away for school, live on campus, that sort of thing, or else its my sister and i rooming for all my university years. -_- not cool at all. but at the same time i keep looking at canada world youth and that katimavik program. they're both ten times cheaper than a year of university, plus i've always wanted to go to africa and volunteer there. jacob and i were going to do it together. and katimavik just sounds like alot of fun. 8 - 10 people living together for nine months in three different cities all across canada and volunteering? thats my kind of thing. but i dont know. so much depends on other people right now. too much really.
i suppose i should just apply for the most things i can because i could always change my mind and turn things down, right? but for now i might as well keep my options open.

hi guys! i'm dying!
i'm so sick its disgusting. i have a fever, and a massive migraine and the entire right side of my throat is insanely swollen and swallowing is the most difficult operation in the universe. but i'm not at work, so thats cool. i got transferred to the mini-sport camp this week that's on the other side of the city. this guy scott gives me a drive in the mornings. he's such a genuinely nice guy, i want to be his best friend. apparently, last week at the camp i'm working at now, there was this little kid who looked alot like a girl (like long blond hair and such), but the leaders weren't sure whether this kid was a boy or a girl. then when they did the line ups for the washroom, the kid went in the girls line. ok, so they're like, it's a she. then the next time they did the line ups, the kid goes in the boys line and so they redirect he/she to the girls line. later though, they overheard a kid asking him/her whether they were a boy or a girl. and the kid goes "im a boy" and pulls down his pants and sure enough he's a boy. but he looks like a girl, and goes in the girls washroom. gender bending starts at a young age apparently. i think freud would have a thing or two to say about this.
other than that..........i have two kids in my group who only speak korean. apparently they're visiting from korea and their parents put them in summer camp. wtf!? i hate camp. me and kirby sit around and bitch about it at lunch.
my parents are going away for the weekend. so if the doctor says im not dying or have west nile or such, then part-eh weekend i believe.

she's a dear, she's a darling girl. she draws you in and never disappoints. this weekend has been a dream, i'm sure. none of this can be real. my luck doesn't stretch this far...lets hope it holds. fireworks by the river and trips downtown. sleeping in too late in someone else's bed and kissing in a pool. silly things like bedknobs and broomsticks. i just cant stop smiling.

Kar is a shithead right now. basically i have one day's notice that i have to interview a band i know absolutely nothing about. fook you!
but on that note could everyone who lives in the gta plz plz plz plz(!!!!!!) come out tomorrow (friday June 30th) at the Chapters by MuchMusic (one street down from queen) around 2pm for the launch of Amazing Canadian. it would make me feel so much better if there were people there who i recognized! please come i'll owe you forever and ever and ever!
i'm so sick of this already - i hate that i have to be on camera and that people are taking all sorts of pictures of me (for which, by the way, i have not signed any release forms). i have enough self-esteem issues without this thanks.
again - please come! you can watch me make a fool of myself!
